PMG Collects a Pair of Silver Awards at 2010 EXAwards
May 06, 2010
CHICAGO, May 5, 2010 - Performance Marketing Group, Inc., an Indianapolis-based event management firm with more than 25 years in the industry, collected a pair of Silver Awards Monday night at the 2010 EXAwards, the only recognition program for experiential marketing. This year's winners were announced by Event Marketer magazine during the Event Marketer Summit held at Chicago's downtown Westin Hotel.

"We have never sought outside recognition for the tremendous work that our team members perform," said PMG Vice President Bill Bissmeyer, "but tonight we competed with some of the most respected names in the industry. We were very pleased with the results and we will continue to pursue the kind of excellence that is exemplified by the EXAwards."

More than 600 entries were judged for this year's EXAwards. PMG won a Silver Award for Best Single-Venue/Marketing Event/Meeting for its implementation of the Goodyear Wrangler MT/R w/Kevlar Launch in Washington, D.C., and for Best Green Event/Trade Show Campaign for the Meet Saturn Tour.

For the Wrangler MT/R w/Kevlar launch, PMG located a unique site near the nation's capitol with the necessary mud, water, hills, rocks, trees and sand to adequately showcase Goodyear's new line of tires. PMG also trained more than 80 Goodyear staff and executive personnel, allowing them to serve as in-vehicle facilitators during product demonstrations with participating dealers and key customers.

The Meet Saturn Tour utilized solar-panel-generated energy to power various elements of the display and was one of the first mobile-marketing displays in North America to make use of solar energy. Sun power enabled the PMG-managed displays to use significantly less carbon-generated energy compared to past mobile-marketing activation methods.

Founded in 1986, PMG is a full-service, event marketing and promotions company with expertise in mobile interactive product displays, corporate public relations, event management, in-market retail promotions, corporate entertainment/hospitality, and national and regional marketing programs. Clients past and present such as the U.S. Army, ESPN, ACDelco, Chevrolet, Quaker State, Channellock, The Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company, Anheuser-Busch, and UniDial Telecommunications, among others, have all relied on PMG to execute consumer brand-awareness and marketing programs. PMG has its home office in Indianapolis with a satellite branch in Atlanta and a warehouse center in Los Angeles.
